Billy made a big mistake and now the ship is not working as well as it should - the same thing happened with Adam and Eve. All it takes is breaking one rule to make things just fall apart.  Rules are there for a reason, and no matter how good you are - you can be tempted to break them in some way.  No matter who may have tricked you, the consequences go to you because we each have the wonderful freedom of choice.  Use it wisely!

Abraham lies about Sarah (Genesis 20)

With only one lie a person creates a web of problems.  Abraham and Sarah found this out when he was afraid that men would kill him to steal Sarah for themselves. The good thing is that God spoke to Abimelek and told him what he was doing was wrong.  The made Abimelek find out the truth and got everything cleared up and set up protection for Sarah.  We should remember that telling the truth can only do what is right.  If we lie we are only spreading fiction.  Fiction is not helpful in important situations.  If you know the truth then you know how to properly act in certain situations.

ALOHA!!! Back 2 School Bash 2012!

 We are excited to share updates on our first ever Back 2 School Bash!

We had such a great turn out and we are so pleased with how things went.

Our church congregation, along with others came together and donated over 35 backpacks to give away to kids at our service!!!  Thank you to those of you who donated and who prayed for our ministry for your amazing support. We are eternally grateful!

We had a blast playing games outside, followed by a great dinner.  As soon as everyone finished eating we kicked out our awesome service showcasing our talented ministry team, and bringing God all of the glory.

We sang songs and met lots of fun characters throughout the night, and followed up with an amazingly encouraging word from Pastor Derek.

We counted 27 children who responded to the call that night to believe in Jesus and ask Him to walk with them and live in their hearts.

Praise GOD!

Overall, we call this a HUGE success and we give God ALL of the glory. We couldn't be who we are without Him, and without our support from our church.  We thrive because we have many intercessors standing behind us.

The lame man at the gate called beautiful

In giving to God we can be like the black sheep and have a happy attitude.. ready to give freely.  When Peter and John came to the lame man laid near the gate called beautiful Peter spoke to him, letting him know that he (Peter) had no riches to give.  He did say that he still had something to give...

 He said he would give what he could.  He reached out and helped the man up - and in that act the man was healed; able to walk and jump and dance.  Our offering.. or gift to God does not HAVE to be money, as much as the church need s money it also needs your time, your love, and your presence.  We can give everyone around us these things and whenever we do - it is much like giving it to God!

Paul and Silas In Prison

Just as in the silly song for this lesson the rowers are 'merrily' doing their work - so did Paul and Silas.  Being sent to prison for casting out a spirit possessing a slave girl, instead of being beaten and giving up, Paul and Silas are praying and singing about God's glory.  God releases them from their bonds, but likely due to their joyous attitudes they stay there and are able to talk and commune with the Jailer's family.. ending with that entire family getting saved and baptized!  God really pulls off miracles and usually never how we would expect it to happen! Be joyous in all that you do!

The Ten Lepers

The ten lepers were very smart to seek out Jesus and ask for mercy (Please).  Each of them were healed because of it, but only one of them was thoughtful and thankful enough to return and offer thanks. "Please" and "Thank You" are magical because of what they do inside of us - as well as those around us when we or they use them!  You can use them too!
