We Believe..

and practice two ordinances—(1) Water Baptism by Immersion after repenting of one's sins and receiving Christ's gift of salvation, and (2) Holy Communion (the Lord's Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ's suffering and death for our salvation.

Memory Verse :

1 Corinthians 11:25 NIV

In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

Matthew 28:19 NIV

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Doe Doe and The Inner Changed Cone (An Object Lesson about Outward Ordinances)  :

Doe Doe names a few pieces of card board and teaches the importance of inner change!

Bible Lesson :

Jesus' Baptism (Matthew 3)
Jesus Starting Communion (Matthew 26, Mark 14, Luke 22)

Jesus lived as an example for us in so many ways.  The greatest is his selfless love for all others.  We can be like this as well, but there were also some outward things Jesus did to 'show' others His dedication and remembrance of truth. He was baptized, even though John felt that he was not worthy to do it, Jesus understood the importance of showing this outwardly, and explained it for us later.  We are baptized just as Jesus was and it symbolizes the end of the sinful man and the birth of the new man covered in the blood of Christ!  Jesus also made reference during the last supper of our need to remember what He was to do in order for us to have acceptance in Salvation.  We remember the blood shed and the body that was torn for us.  While these outward things do not really change us, we really 'want' to do them because of our inward changes due to the acceptance of Christ within!

An Adventure Through Space Learning The Fundamentals of Truth - Lesson 5 - Salvation: Available To All

Starship Truthprise's Space Log :

Is it really true?  Is there a place that the crew of the Starship Truthprise can go in order to get fixed? Will Captian D accept that he needs the help?

We Believe..

Every Person Can Have Restored Fellowship with God Through 'Salvation' (trusting Christ, through faith and repentance, to be our personal Savior).

Memory Verse :

Romans 10:9

New International Version (NIV)
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Doe Doe and The Answer To Trouble (An Object Lesson on Salvation) :

Doe Doe shows a quick and easy solution to Salvation!

Bible Lesson :

2 Kings 5

Naaman's healing

It should not matter how hard, or how easy the thing is we are asked to do to 'make up' for our mistakes.  If we really believe that we have made a mistake, or sinned - we should be willing to do whatever is needed of us.  The great thing is that we are just asked to Trust in Christ, His sacrifice and to focus on Him for the rest of our lives.  He died for us so that we could live. Naaman was given a fairly easy task to be healed and had not others around him encouraged him to actually do what was asked of him, instead of just being angry about it - he never would have been healed... just angry.  Ask Jesus into your life today - it will heal you, and will even help out that anger!

Lessons From Treasure Planet : 2 - Finding The Map

This is an adapted lesson from Kidology that used Treasure Island.  You may need an account to be able to see the information there, but we will be releasing our versions as soon as we are done.  Check it out HERE : http://www.kidology.org/zones/zone_post.asp?post_id=2118

Memory Verse :

Psalm 119:105

New International Version (NIV)
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

Doe Doe and The Heavenly Map (An Object Lesson On The Path To Heaven) :

Doe Doe tells as story about two boys and their map to heaven!

If you want to learn HOW TO DO this, just watch to video below where Pastor Derek explains it!

Bible Lesson :
Genesis 24:27
Abraham's servant finding the wife for Isaac

It would be really hard to accomplish a job like this servant was given without guidance from God.  When this servant prays and sets up specific things that must happen for him to know who the right woman to marry Isaac would be, he is really creating a map to the 'treasure' he is in search of.  God has the treasures out there for us, we just need to be sensitive to His voice to understand when they are ours or for someone else! Read His Word, the Bible, The true 'map' to heaven that guides us to Christ and salvation!

Sally Storie's Quest For The Armor of God : Lesson 6 - Helmet of Salvation

Sally Storie Interview :

Memory Verse :

Romans 10:9-10
New King James Version (NKJV)
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Doe Doe and the Candle of Life (An Object Lesson about Eternal Life) :

Doe Doe shows the Lakewood kids a good way to understand how the helmet of salvation works.

Bible Lesson :

What does it help us fight?
Death
How do you equip it?
Believing In Christ

Nicodemus (Being Born Again)

Salvation is an act of death and resurrection that is simple yet complex enough that even a religious leader like Nicodemus could not grasp.  We must remember to go to Christ, even if it is in the night, and learn what we can.  It is never a bad thing to come to Him with questions, because He will provide us with an answer.  It does not mean that we will understand right away, but hopefully will get it just like Nicodemus did, later. We must accept Jesus in order to be saved and right here in this story we can understand that when we do we should be a different person afterwards... it may not happen right at that moment, but the more and more we go to Christ the better we will understand.  Death will never hold us because Christ's blood will be upon us giving us eternal life.

Avengers Assemble! Agent Coulson's Lesson on Christ!

Sally Storie Interview :

Memory Verse :

John 3:16

New Living Translation (NLT)
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

Doe Doe and The Separation of Sin (An Object Lesson about Unity and Salvation) :

Doe Doe shows the Lakewood kids what the power of sacrifice creates for those around it.

Bible Lesson :

The Diverse 12 Diciples and Christ's Sacrifice that brought them together

In the Avengers movie Phil Coulson is the catalyst that brought "earths mightiest heroes" together. You might have expected it to instead be one of the more powerful players, but instead it was just a man.  The Israelites expected the Christ to be so much more 'amazing' then what they initially saw in Jesus.  He should have been a powerful warrior that became their king, instead he was a carpenter that talked a bunch, and then died.  One real power that Jesus had was His ability to bring the diverse together.  His disciples were not all fisherman, nor were they all tax collectors, or either just good men.  They came from all walks of life, and somehow Jesus brought them all together for ONE cause.  Where His death may have scattered them, His resurrection empowered them and guided them to the Holy Spirit which immediately spoke to all... regardless of language barriers.

Can anyone be too bad for God to save? (Video, Object Lesson)

Too late to be saved? The story of a thief! (Sunday Lesson)

This lesson brought to you by High Voltage Kids (Transformed Curriculum - Lesson 4)

Snapbucket,Effect: Orange Bokeh,Filter: Lomoish,Frame: Grunge White,Vignette: Square Black

Three steps that the thief on the cross beside Jesus took to get to heaven.

1. Admit Your Sin!

Instead of mocking Jesus like on thief did - the other thief admitted that he had committed the crimes and deserved his death on the cross (also admitted that Jesus did NOT deserve death)

2. Ask Jesus For Help!

By recognizing that Jesus did not deserve death - and seeing Jesus as a Savour the thief asked Jesus,

Luke 23:42 KJV

And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

3. Receive God's Forgiveness!

When someone gives you a gift - you must accept in order for it to truly be yours.  The thief obviously accepted and even though it was 'late' in life ALL his sins were cleaned!

Take a lesson from the thief and take these steps to start making your way to heaven.

(A video will be posted in a blog later - keep an eye out for it! having technical problems)

Memory Verse :

2 Peter 3:9

Big Idea :

"Ain't Nobody Too Bad For God! "
