Old Mother Hubbard - Lesson 16 of Nursery Rhyme and Silly Songs

Old Mother Hubbard
Went to the cupboard
To get her poor doggie a bone,
When she got there
The cupboard was bare
So the poor little doggie had none.

Philippians 4:19

New International Version (NIV)
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

1 Kings 17:7-16

Elijah and The Woman

Old Mother Hubbard likely felt much like the woman in this bible story.  The good thing is that even though there was a drought and it was very possible this woman and her son would die, God stepped in when they were in need.  Their trust in this man of God saved them - and in the end themselves - the boy literally regained his life in the story.  God is amazing and we should truly trust in Him to provide us our needs and not worry about everything around us!

Mr. Derek talks about when God fed a man by ravens and then the miracles that happened with an old woman and her son.
